The practice is led by Dr George Karageorgiou and Dr Panagiotis Karageorgiou, both Principal Dentists, who share a strong family background in dentistry. Dr George Karageorgiou
Principal Dentist & Associate Implant Dentist
Dr George Karageorgiou is a Principal Dentist at Astley Dental Centre with advanced training and a strong clinical focus in dental implantology.
He graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Grigore T. Popa”, Iasi, before continuing his postgraduate education in the UK. He completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Implantology and has successfully completed his MSc in Dental Implantology at the University of Salford.
George provides comprehensive dental care including advanced diagnosis and treatment planning, restorative dentistry (fillings, crowns and bridges), root canal treatments, surgical procedures including extractions, and both single and multiple dental implant placement. He also has experience managing more complex implant rehabilitation cases.
In addition to his role at Astley Dental Centre, George works as an Associate Implant Dentist within a structured referral and academic environment, contributing to advanced implant treatment planning and complex case management.

Dr Panagiotis Karageorgiou
Principal Dentist
Dr Panagiotis Karageorgiou is a Principal Dentist at Astley Dental Centre, providing high-quality general dentistry with a strong focus on patient comfort and long-term oral health.
He qualified with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Grigore T. Popa”, Iasi and has been practising in the UK since 2019.
He provides a full range of dental treatments including comprehensive examinations and diagnosis, preventive dentistry, restorative treatments such as fillings, root canal treatments, crown and bridge work, and both simple and complex tooth extractions.
Panagiotis is particularly recognised for his skill and confidence in extractions. His calm manner and precise surgical technique help ensure that even more complex extractions are carried out safely, efficiently and as comfortably as possible for patients.
He is committed to continuous professional development and regularly undertakes further postgraduate training to remain up to date with modern dental techniques and standards.
