For that burst of freshness and ongoing peace of mind, our Astley Dental Centre practitioners can perform a 20-minute hygiene procedure to remove tough stains and tartar.

These build up naturally over time and cannot be removed by regular brushing.

This hygiene appointment gives us a chance to safeguard you from dental problems further down the line, identifying any underlying issues sooner rather than later.

We’d recommend booking in for a hygiene treatment four times a year to reduce the risk of gum disease and avoid problems later.

Your Treatment Journey

Step 1

First, your dentist will carry out a full dental examination of teeth and gums – this could include x-rays if the dentist deems it necessary to assess the overall health of your mouth.

Step 2

Your dentist will then begin the cleaning process to get rid of any tartar buildup or stubborn stains on your teeth, as well as around the gumline.

Step 3

The final step is polish, which is where your dentist will buff the surface of your teeth to remove any remaining staining. This is painless and usually takes 20 minutes.
